Responsibilities
As President, Charlie's responsibilities are overall company development and management, including company sales and marketing, operations, design and development of facilities and long range planning. Charlie is also a partner in East West Partners Management Company, Inc.
Background
Charlie's thirty plus year hospitality career began with the Hyatt Hotel chain in sales and operations, including properties throughout the southeast. In 1979, he purchased ownership in hotels, including the University Inn in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, which would eventually become an East West Partners property. Charlie later helped develop the Old North State Club, an award-winning golf course project, along with many other projects East West Partners would build. In 1993 he founded East West Partners Club Management Company, which now manages numerous clubs across the United States.
Education
Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Hospitality Administration at Florida State University. He is also a graduate of the University of North Carolina's executive education program, the Young Executive's Institute.

Personal
A native of North Carolina, Charlie and his wife, Gail, live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Their daughter, Jessica, a graduate of the University of North Carolina, lives in Washington DC and their son, Chad, a graduate of the University of Colorado - Boulder, lives in Beaver Creek, Colorado.
