Cindy Williams Corporate Director of Activities & Events |
As the Corporate Director of Activities and Events, Cindy is responsible for overseeing all activities operations and non-golf programming in all managed facilities. In addition to these duties, she is a Regional Manager for several upscale lifestyle clubs located in the Carolinas and is a frequent participant and speaker at national conferences on the importance of programming and event planning.
Background
Cindy has a broad-based background in the club industry having worked in food and beverage, golf operations and most recently, activities and special events. In 2000, she joined EWPCM as the Director of Activities for The Point Lake and Golf Club, a Crescent Resources community located on Lake Norman in Mooresville, North Carolina, developing the program from inception. In late 2003, she joined the community relations staff at Lowe's Companies, Inc, the second largest home improvement retailer in the world. She managed the Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation, distributing over $3 million in grants to schools and community-based organizations across America. In 2005, she rejoined forces with EWPCM as the Corporate Director of Activities and Events.
Education
Cindy graduated Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, emphasis in Public Relations. She was the Public Relations Manager for Centertainment Productions, UW-SP's campus activities board, wrote for the student newspaper and served as president for the student chapter of Women in Communication. She also studied a semester abroad in Australia.
Personal
Aside from competing in occasional triathlons, Cindy is a certified cycle and water aerobics instructor at Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics Center. She also serves on the event operations committee for the Charlotte area Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Cindy and her husband, Troy, reside in Huntersville, North Carolina.
